At Rejuvenis, patients are our number one priority. Dr. Russo often operates on patients who drive or fly in from other cities and states in order to be treated by him. We offer the latest aesthetic technologies and surgical techniques, while always adhering to our patient-centered mission. Whether you would like a single procedure or are considering a combination of treatments, we custom design your rejuvenation plans to fit your goals.
An Out of Town Patient Consultation at Rejuvenis
For individuals who do not live in or near the Champaign-Urbana area, we have developed a special consultation process:
- Get in touch. Call the office at 217-398-4856 to set up your out of town patient consultation. We will help guide you through the necessary steps.
- Send photos. In most cases, we will request photos of your face, specifically ones that highlight your concerns, from a few different angles. It is also helpful to receive photos from when you felt most attractive as an adult. The photos will give Dr. Russo a sense of your facial proportions, muscle conditions, and the overall condition of your skin, enabling him to make an initial assessment.
- Review your treatment options. Once Dr. Russo has had a chance to evaluate your face, a phone call or a Skype/Facetime video conference will be set to discuss your goals and to let you meet Dr. Russo. He will recommend a few treatment options, from non-surgical to plastic surgery procedures, if applicable, and explain what you can expect from each treatment. Our patient coordinator will go over all aspects of the procedure including pre-op instructions, travel arrangements including hotel stay and private nurse if needed, surgical considerations, medical history, and financial options.
Treatment Day
Once you decided to go ahead, our staff will coordinate a date for you to drive or fly in. Everything will be prepared prior to your arrival so you can calm down and be ready for treatment. You will meet with Dr. Russo face to face prior to the actual treatment to examine your face again. He will go over each step of the treatment and the recovery period so you know what to expect.
Flying or Long-Distance Travel After Your Procedure
Depending on the procedure, you may need to plan a temporary stay in the Champaign-Urbana area after treatment. The length of your stay will depend on Dr. Russo’s individual instructions. To help you plan your time, here are some general guidelines.

| Rhinoplasty | About 2 weeks for initial swelling to reduce. It can take up to a year for the nose to completely settle into its final form. | General rule: Wait 4-7 days The amount of downtime necessary before travel will depend on the complexity of the rhinoplasty and the individual patient. |
| Eyelid Surgery | 7-10 days. Post-surgical discomfort usually lasts for about 24 hours, with swelling and bruising peaking within the first 48 hours. | General rule: Wait 3-5 days Recovery time depends on technique, but long distance travel should not happen before sutures are removed. |
| Face/Neck Lift | About 2 weeks for a standard facelift and necklift. About 2 days for a mini facelift. | General rule: Wait 5-7 days for a standard face/neck lift, after suture removal. Travel may be possible sooner after a mini facelift. |
| Brow Lift | About 2 weeks. Swelling usually peaks 5-7 days after surgery. | General rule: Wait 5-7 days, after suture removal. |
